I purchased a Smith&Wesson 9mm sigma handgun and would like to know if there is a way to decrease the amount of force it takes to fire. I like the gun but am having a hard time with the trigger pull. Is there something can be done with my problem
Good afternoon,The amount of a handgun's trigger pull is measured in pounds. A typical semi-auto handgun will have a trigger pull of roughly 4 to 6 pounds, give or take (depending on the gun). The good news is that this is something that can be changed by a gunsmith. What you will need to do is to bring the gun to a gunsmith and have the trigger pull lightened. It's a common problem that can be easily fixed. I have never heard of anyone getting in trouble over a lighter trigger pull. The main thing to remember is that the trigger will be easier to pull, so safety becomes even more important.I hope that this helps!
