I inherited a colt model 1903 pocket hammerless pistol from my father. It has mother of pearl handles and has aserial number of 414990.6 3/4 inches long. What can you tell me about it and its possible worth? The finish is blue wirh minor? scratching, but is basically blue overall.
Already Tried: Nothing, this is my first attempt.
Good afternoon,Can you please tell me the caliber of your gun?
On the bottom of the clip it has cal 32 and under that colt. On one side of the slide over the barrel, it has colt automatic and under that calibre 32 rimless smokeless and on the other side colts pt f.a. mfg. co. hartford,ct,usa and under that patented apr 20 1897 dec 22 1903.
I will be happy to look this Colt up. I am having a bit of difficulty in accessing my pricing information at the moment. I will research this and respond as soon as I can. You will receive an email notifying you when I have replied back.Thank you.Jim

Thank you for your patience.I'm assuming that you meant that the barrel length was 3 3/4, not 6 3/4. Your Colt model 1903 pocket hammerless Type III was made in 1922. The original color was noted as charcoal blue, and it originally had black, hard rubber grips.
For your Colt, the following current Blue Book values apply. Retail prices may be 20% higher:
New in box/perfect --100% condition - $ 1250

Very Good condition ------ 80% condition - $450

I hope that this helps! Thank you for your question!
