Value of a German Mauser WWII Army Rifle
Already Tried: None
Hi! My name is XXXXX XXXXX X can assist you. Can you please provide an image and note overall condition and the history of how you came about receiving it?
Hey Will,
I will try to get an image made to send to you. I have 2 rifles (same vintage) patent date 1865? and they are in very good condition. One has the Bayonet with the same serial # XXXXX the other bayonet is missing for the time being.
My cousin owns the two rifles and wants to sell them to me for 80% of the wholesale value. I collect guns as a hobby but do not have any military except a fairly new AR 13.
I am looking at a "ballpark" wholesale value.
Thank you!
I am a little confused...you asked about a K98 Mauser initially and now you are talking about two 1865 era rifles? I can do one thing per session...a standard Nazi proved K98 Mauser in average as-found condition, assuming it is not an import by Blue Sky or similar from the past 20 years and all matching, ranges from $425 to $600. Imports will be stamped generally below the barrel at the muzzle area...Century Arms brought these in by the thousands from Russia and China and they are still coming in...those retail from $275 to $350 each. Best, Will
