The Browning High-Power bolt-action rifle is a sporting rifle made by FN in Belgium from 1959 until 1975. It was also made by Sako of Finland from 1961 to 1975. It has a standard Mauser-style action or Sako action, respectively, and is chambered in a wide variety of calibers from .222 Rem. to .458 Winchester Magnum. It has either a 22 or 24 inch barrel, a folding leaf sight, and a checkered pistol-grip stock.Retail values for standard calibers:Excellent: $1,530-$2,010Very Good: $1,195-$1,410Good: $660-$1,020-One way to get the best price for that gun is to sell it using an online firearm auction sites. The advantage is that you get people bidding against each other and you can set a minimum price (called a "reserve") that you want for the gun. The bidders don't know what the reserve price is, only if it has been met or not. You will need to take some pictures of the gun so that the bidders can see exactly what they bidding on. The gun's condition and finish are important. You can go to the auction sites and look at listings others have put up to get an idea of how to present your gun. Here are two of the auction sites:http://www.gunbroker.comandhttp://www.gunsamerica.comThis link explains how the auction works at gunbroker.com:http://www.gunbroker.com/User/ToolsForSellers.aspxA dealer is the easiest way to sell a gun, but, of course, not the one that will get you the most money. Another option would be to use an actual auction house in your area which specializes in firearms. Finally, you can sell your gun at a local gun show. The gun show promoter can help you with questions about complying with any state and federal laws. Most states allow the private sale of a firearm to another person as long as you have no reason to believe that person is not allowed to own a gun and that person is a resident of your state. But your state could be different, hence talking to the gun show promoter to get the information you need.I hope this helps. If you are satisfied with my answer, please click the "accept" button.
