I need to locate small parts for a Remington model 6 Improved

Resolved Question:

I need to locate small parts for a Remington model 6 Improved single shot (.22 Long Rifle Cal.). Specifically, I need the parts that are in the breech block, called (I think), 'Mainspring', 'mainspring plunger', and 'mainspring plunger guide'. Can you tell me where I might source these parts? Thanks, Scott

Mr. Van Cleave,

I want to thank you for the help you have provided. Based on your comment that the Remington Model 6 and the 7600 are the same, I ordered the parts I needed based on an exploded view of the 7600 on Brownell’s web site. Unfortunately, the parts I ordered are much too large for the .22 rifle I have. Perhaps the difference is that mine is a Model 6 Improved. The parts needed are the firing pin and its return spring. If you could help me with this problem I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you,

Scott,

I'm really confused. When did I say the Model 6 and Model 7600 were the same? The Model 6 is a rolling bock rifle and the Model 7600 is a pump-action rifle.

The list of parts dealers should have parts for the Model 6 Improved. Since you have the improved version, be sure to order the parts accordingly, as the regular Model 6 and the Model 6 Improved parts don't interchange. The NumXXXXX XXXXXnk above is to the parts for a Model 6 Improved....
