My neighbor lady has a Pistole Modell 27, KAL 7.65 that bears

Resolved Question:

My neighbor lady has a "Pistole Modell 27, KAL 7.65 that bears SN94574. It has a leather holster that seems to be made for the piece. I think it is a CZ. One of her relatives brought it back from Germany. Any thoughts on when it was produced or the current value?

Hi,

The pistol is a CZ 27 "BÖHMISCHE" Slide Legend Variation. It is also called the CZ 1927. It has vertical slide grooves and a high or medium polish. There are standard guns and Nazi proofed guns that are marked with an eagle and "K" on the left by the trigger guard. It is blued with wrap around plastic grips. There were over 500,000 produced. Your serial number puts it as a WWII manufacture, either 1941, 1942 or 1943. Values from the 2011 Standard Catalog of Firearms are:

excellent-$600, very good-$475, good-$300, fair-$200, poor-$165.

Add 50% for Nazi marked guns. Add $75 for the holster.

I hope this helps you,

Tom
