Customer Question

How do you lock the bolt back on a Winchester Model 100 so you can clean the barrel?

What year was # XXXXX made?

Is this a post recall rifle or will I need to replace the firing pin?

Many thanks,

Dennis Pearson

You might need to remove the barrel to clean it. Here's how you do it:

Remove the magazine, clear the chamber. Remove the front swivel/forend screw.
Pull the bolt all the way to the rear and hold it there while you push the barrel upward out of the forend. This should separate the stock from the barreled action.

Year of manufacture was 1962, so you might need to replace that firing pin.

I hope this helps.PhilipVanCleave40415.6971439005
