Replaced trigger and springs on & Wesson SDV9, reassembled

Customer Question

Replaced trigger and springs on Smith & Wesson SDV9, reassembled gun and found that striker no longer worked. Now slide will no longer go forward far enough to detach so I can fix problem with sear. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Casey.

Casey,

Good evening. Sounds like the recoil spring assembly may have slipped off its notch and is blocking the slide from moving forward. Can you see anything there?
