Hi,

My name is Jon. I will do my best to help. How is it jammed (in the chamber, magazine or other)? Is it a live or spent round?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it was ;lent to my son in law who stated it has a spent round in the chamber.
Expert:  Jon replied 1 year ago.

You will need a piece of 1/4" diameter by 30"" ling or so brass rod from your local hardware store. Keep the muzzle in a safe direction. Lift upon the bolt handle as if to open the bolt. Simply dropping the brass rod into the bore may pro is enough force to dislodge the empty shell casing. If not then a few light taps to the brass rod with a hammer should do it. be carful not to be in front of the muzzle in case it is a live round. Let me know how it works.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The bolt is still frozen even after tapping it.

The empty shell casing is jammed in the barrel

Good evening. My name is ***** ***** I understand you have asked for a new expert to handle your issue. I want to make sure that I understand the situation. Is there is a bullet or a shell casing in the barrel?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There is a spent shell in the chamber and I cannot open the bolt to remove it.
Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

Have you tried to tap the bolt open with a rubber mallet?

Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

The rubber mallet would be what I would try first.

Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

Are you still with me?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will attempt this tomorrow morning as I have been up since 4 AM and it is 9:30 PM
Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

Ok, just let me know how it works out. I will be around

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It stilll won't open.
Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

ok..you tried the rubber mallet?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I hit the bolt handle quite hard. I aldp realized that the safety will not move down to safe and only moves slightly. I can move the bolt up about a 1/4" as I could always do after this jam..
Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

Ok...first, for safety reasons, are you sure that the round fired and what is stuck in the chamber is just an empty shell casing?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

Ok, I think that we may need to get a gunsmith involved, to avoid any possible damage to the gun. Do you have someone local that you know of?

Expert:  ProShooter replied 1 year ago.

If not, I can locate a gunsmith for you if you give me your city/state

I'm still here to help you.
