I have an LLC that's about 6 months old. I have a business partner that is responsible for marketing. We have agreed that we will split profits 50%/50% on clients he brings to my company. Currently, he as a friend that owns a business and would like to refer business to my LLC. So, my business partner still wants to split the commission 50/50. I think this is different than my partner bringing in business on his own. Basically, this other company would be sending business to us at 20%. So, that means my LLC would get 80% or 40% to LLC and 40% to my business partner. I think my LLC should get 50% and the other 50% should be split with the partner and referring company. What is your thought?
