OBTAINING HEALTH INSURANCE - TOP EXPERT, IN INSURANCE

Customer Question

OBTAINING HEALTH INSURANCE - TOP EXPERT, IN INSURANCEOBTAINING HEALTH INSURANCE - TOP EXPERT, IN INSURANCE ONLY! One person (and one dependent) needs insurance right now, but signup seems to not be possible until a policy starting January, (unless pay really high rate in the meantime). So what is the best option at this point? If employment is terminated, can get insurance the moment he's let go? And is this still ok if he gets re-hired a couple months later?

Have tried talking with Etna, but they said the company does not have enough employees to sign up with them. BCBS is a definite NO because they have stolen lots of money from us, and have VERY bad customer service. Talked to Health Insurance Innovation (a local broker) but like many, said they don't deal with health insurance anymore.

Have you tried signing up through your state exchange:

https://www.healthcare.gov/

If you lost your job, then it typically allows a special enrollment.

Hi, can you please try answering my question.

Here it is again:

"So what is the best option at this point? If employment is terminated, can he get insurance at the very moment he's let go? And is this action still ok, if he just gets re-hired back a couple months later?"

MOD - Please find expert for this question.. I think the problem is you moved it to the wrong category. It should be in Health Care.
