MyVirtualCPA :

Thank you for your question, and thanks for using JustAnswer.com

MyVirtualCPA :

There are no investments that are as secure as a CD or mutual fund. That is because these types of investments are insured by the government.

Customer:

So do you have any suggestions that you may take a littler more risk but not as risky as the bullish stock market

MyVirtualCPA :

Well you could invest in mutual funds that follow the S&P 500

MyVirtualCPA :

The S&P 500 is full of solid companies

Customer:

and where would I go to invest this a bank? or a stock broker or can you do this on etrade

MyVirtualCPA :

You could do it on eTrade

MyVirtualCPA :

or any of the major brokerage firms

MyVirtualCPA :

Here's an example:

MyVirtualCPA :

https://personal.vanguard.com/us/funds/snapshot?FundId=0040&FundIntExt=INT

Customer:

it seems like etrade is 9.99 In and out and the broker takes a percentage of interest on your investment. putting 100,000 in something like that with a broker seems crazy when they take 4% right away

MyVirtualCPA :

Yes, I know....You can open up your own Vanguard account too and invest in that fund I just linked to

Customer:

ok thx...I will look at that!

MyVirtualCPA :

You're welcome.

MyVirtualCPA :

Is there anything else that I can assist you with today?

Customer:

not for now...just not a good investor and don't want to regret putting in something that is a loser.

Customer:

Thank You!

MyVirtualCPA :

I understand.

MyVirtualCPA :

If you would, please rate my response as "excellent" so that I may receive credit for assisting you today

Customer:

ok

MyVirtualCPA :

Thanks!
