I administer the health savings plan for our company. We just started it a couple of years ago. Each year at the beginning of the year the company gives each employee the maximum amount allowed by the IRS. My question is can employees also contribute to their accounts up to the maximum allowed?
Thank you for your question, and thanks for using The employees can contribute to their accounts up to the max. So, for instance, if your company put in $2,250 in an account for a single person, that person could contribute an additional $1,000 to get the maximum of $3,250.

I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you need anything additional. Thanks again for using and have a happy, and safe, 2013.
