Welcome and thanks for your question.

There are several companies that claim they can save you money and reduce your tax bill. The key is determining which ones are reputable and have your best interest in mind. Be wary of tax practitioners who promise settlements of "pennies on the dollar" Here are a few other options you may want to consider;

  • Contact a local reputable CPA firm to assist you with your representation with the IRS. While they are well versed in the tax code and tax preparation they can also assist you with the IRS. You can contact the Texas Society of CPA's or the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy for a listing; www.tscpa.org or http://www.tsbpa.state.tx.us/
  • Do it yourself and save on the fees. Please find the following information at this link regarding tips from the IRS: http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=172694,00.html
  • Form 9465 IRS Installment Agreement Request can be found at his link; http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f9465.pdf

If I can assist you further please let me know.
