Good evening. I incorporated this year and I'm still learning the ropes. In the packet that Legal Zoom gave me, I read that corporations can write off 100% of health insurance and expenses. Is this accurate? If so, should I pay my health insurance premiums from my corporation bank account or my personal bank account? Thank you.
If you are filing this as S Corporation than the health insurance is not deductible on the corporation return. It is included as part of wages on S Corp and than deducted on your personal tax return.
So, in effect, you do get the tax benefit but on your personal tax return.
You should pay the premiums from your corporation and the health insurance plan should be sponsored by the corporation
