Thank you for the reply. You do not have to get a copy but if you are paying in cash and/or a way that does not allow you to document payment, then you should. This way, if the other party comes back and claims you failed to pay, you have evidence to support and show that you did.
How old is the child? Did they witness the exchange of money and did they actually see and know how much was paid?
Child support and child visitation are separate issues. Even if you do not pay, the other parent can not withhold visitation.
