Was divorced in Florida. Wife hired attorney who used

Customer Question

Was divorced in Florida. Wife hired attorney who used something called QuickQuote to calculate child support payments for 2 children. Split was 90% father (me) and 10% wife.
The court paperwork has Section 5: CHILD SUPPORT as $1,298 per month or $599 bi-weekly.
In reviewing the worksheet provided by the attorney, I see:
Pro Rata Share of Basic Obligation $1,386
75% of Day Care: $781
Statutory Child Support: $2,168
Adjustment for paying Day: $869
Total Child Support to be Paid to Opposing Party: $1,298
Is the Statutory Child Support the total amount I am responsible for? Why does the court paperwork only list $1,298?

Thank you for your question. I look forward to working with you to provide you the information you are seeking for educational purposes only.
Statutory support can be adjusted for other payments, such as the adjustment for paying day and for daycare expenses. So because they made the adjustment your statutory support is reduced by that adjustment.
