Family Law Questions? Ask a Family Lawyer Online.
Hello and thank you for contacting us. This is Dwayne B. and I’m an expert here and looking forward to helping you today.
You would have to file a Suit Affecting the Parent Child relationship, preferably through a lawyer, and then have the father or fathers served with a copy of the papers. If they don't reply to being served or if the judge rules in your favor then that will give you legal custody of the children. Some judges will also require that a lawyer, known as an attorney ad litem, be appointed to represent the children as well.
If your question has been answered then I'd offer my best wishes to you and ask that you please not forget to leave a Positive Rating so I receive credit for my work. Of course, please feel free to ask any follow up questions in this thread. I want to be sure that all of your questions are answered.
