Customer Question

I applied for SSI for my ADHD son back in Jan. 2015. I call SSA today to check the status of his application and was told his case was closed. Does this mean he has been denied?

Hello. My name is***** will be happy to answer your question.
I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.

Generally, if the SSI informs an applicant that his/her case is closed, that would mean that the application was denied and a written notice would be mailed to the applicant by SSI Administration explaining the reason for the denial.

I am very sorry to provide you with this bad news, but please understand that I do have professional obligation to provide JustAnswer.com customers with correct answers, even when answer is not favorable to the customer.

I wish you the best of luck and God bless you!
