My 26 year old son had boat accident. He has traumatic brain

Customer Question

My 26 year old son had boat accident. He has traumatic brain injury, his wife did a immediate temporary guardianship. A friend of hers did guardian ad litem. Now they made it permanent and my son isn't incompetent, he's 75% back to normal. Also, the attorney, "friend", is now filing injury suit against my homeowners insurance, as it was our boat. Isn't this, 1. A conflict of interest 2. Can the Guardian ship be revoked, there was no psychological or psychiatric evaluation done, nor did this lawyer, guardian ad litem ever speak with my son. His Wife has stopped our visitations, isolating my son. Hospital social worker, won't acknowledge us, his wife has her brainwashed. WHT can be done?

Good Evening,

You can file a petition for Guardianship for yourself and seek his evaluation as part of your proceeding. If he passes and dies need a guardianship this will allow all guardianships to be removed. If he does need a guardianship perhaps you can suggest a neutral family member.
