Customer Question

My daughter in law is an unfit mother she neglects my grandson. he is supposedly autistic and goes to a special school he has speech apraxia and is doing well. she is never there for him. he is one year late for neurologist and psychologist and dentist evaluation. she has wreaked havoc in my house and the cops have been her numerous times for her yelling and screaming. she has a history of shaking the child and locking herself and him in a room when he was very young, she recently punched my son in the chest, my son does not want to let her go and yet she continues to neglect the child and is very mean to him. they have a terrible relationship and my son is with the child 24/7 when he is not working, he will be 5 in january on the outside he is very sociable and well liked, indoors he is getting very destructive and taking a lot of tantrums.i want to call child welfare services but am afraid of the ramifications. i also believe she is on drugs. she is always "sick" or sleeping, except when she has plans with friends, i went to see my psychiatrist because I am suffering from depression over this. I've had several sessions with him discussing her behavior and he thinks she is suffering from borderline personality disorder, my question is i want to do something i was thinking of writing to his pediatrician confidentially and asking for his advice or maybe he can remind her of these important appointments, she is against my son taking the child to these appointments alone. if i write personal and confidential on the letter is he bound not to tell her the letter came from me? thank you or if you have another suggestion, calling acs would be the last case scenario i would want to do.
