An appeal, if upheld, can place an injunction in place over the writ of possession. But the appeal must be found to be in your favor, filing for an appeal does not, by itself stop the writ of possession. If the motions to stay were denied, you can ask that the appeal be heard as quickly as possible, but again, filing for an appeal does not stop the order from being executed against you as currently put in place by the lower court.
