I received an email from ACS INC stating that I will be served

Customer Question

I received an email from ACS INC stating that I will be served court papers in the next 7 days due to a loan that they will not tell me anything about.

Thank you for using JustAnswer. I am Loren, a licensed attorney, and I will do whatever I can to answer your question.
This is not an uncommon scam. Especially if you have no recollection of the loan.
If they will not give any information then ignore them. Legitimate collection agencies just sue. They do not send a letter or call to say you are about to be served.
Not providing information on the debt is a violation of federal law.
Best regards.
