Good Day! I'm a Family Law expert here at JA and will do my best to assist you. Please remember, though, I can only provide general information. How long before the grandfather died did the grandson predecease his grandfather?
Grandson died in February 2013 grandfather died October 2013
OK. Thank you for that. If the will did not make any provision for the even of the grandson predeceasing, the property that was earmarked for the grandson would generally go to the "residue" of the grandfather's estate, and be distributed according to the Residual Clause. The property does not pass to the grandson's heirs, as it never became a part of his estate.
Ok, thank you
