We are residents of Minnesota but getting married in New Mexico. Do we get our marriage license in the state we're getting married, or the state we live in?
Thank you for your question, and congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. Having gotten married in a different state myself, I can tell you that you will need to apply for a marriage license (and make sure you are familiar with the application requirements) of the state in which you plan to marry - so New Mexico.
