Supporting party started giving spousal support to other party 10 mos. ago: before entry of judgment:
1) Is start date for spousal support started 10m mos. ago or after judgment or can be negotiated by eitheir party?

AttyCBradford :

The start date is 10 months ago, the date the first payment was made. If you were married for less than 10 years you will owe SS for half the length of the marriage, or until the other pay dies or remarries. If you were married under 10 years then you owe SS for 1/2 the length of the marriage or until death or remarriage

AttyCBradford :
Customer:

parties were married for more than 16 years, how long or range of spousal support?

AttyCBradford :

You will be ordered to pay supposal support until the other party dies or remarries. However, after 8 years of payment you can ask the court for a reduction
