We have not filed for divorce yet. I have not been staying at the house for a few weeks. Is there a law that says I can't move back into my home. Our names are XXXXX XXXXX the deed.
Optional Information: State/Country relating to question: Washington Already Tried: I tried to come back to my home and she said that because I have been away for three weeks, that I didn't have a right to.

Your spouse is lying to you, I'm afraid. There is no such law that says you may not return to your home, nor could she cite such a law, because it does not exist. Absent a court order giving her temporary sole possession of the home during divorce proceedings, for example, she has no right to keep you out of the home.
