Is it necessary to use an attorney to file a petition for guardianship

This answer was rated:

Is it necessary to use an attorney to file a petition for guardianship of an adult and disabled child? The physician has already filled out interrogatories. So is it OK for me to just fill out a petition and take it to the orphan's court?
Hello and thank you for choosing JustAnswer!

Every individual has the right to represent him/herself in court. If you want everything to go smoothly then I suggest retaining a local attorney but if you feel comfortable doing it yourself then it is your right to represent yourself.

I hope this has helped. Please let me know if you need me to further clarify and I will do my best to so clarify. I am glad to help!

Thank you,

Robert
