in my court order it says that my son cannot have any contact

Resolved Question:

in my court order it says that my son cannot have any contact with a certain person. It also says that Respondent(me) will take reasonable steps to prevent such contact. I am needing help interpreting this.. this is meaning that I must of course prevent the contact for my son and I have but it dosen't mean I cannot have contact.. since I live away from my son for considerable amounts of time..

I agree. A court order stating that your son cannot have contact with a certain person does not mean that you cannot have contract
