Absent a court order or proceeding concerning the child, the parent in possession of the child has custody can choose whether to allow the child to visit with the other parent.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Thanks for the quick response.

If the parent with whom the child lives disallows the child to visit the other parent can that have any bearing on any future court orders or proceedings?
Expert:  Ellen replied 5 years ago.

Likely a judge will not look favorably upon the parent that denies visitation to the other parent
