Hello I am a pharmacist in Floria and I gave my two weeks

Resolved Question:

I am a pharmacist in Floria and I gave my two weeks notice. I was told to leave a week early. Is that legal? Should I be entitled to my two weeks pay?

Hi - my name is XXXXX XXXXX I'm a Family Law litigation attorney here to assist you.

The 2 week notice is for the benefit of the employer as it is to give the employer time to find a replacement. However, if the employer doen's want to keep you on for those 2 weeks, it is not required to. Therefore, you can be released early, and if you are, you're not entitled to be paid.
