She can sue you for the $400 per month and it does not matter where the money comes from but any inheritance is your separate property and neither your ex wife or your current wife have any marital property rights to it as long as you keep it in a separate account.

By a seperate account, a bank or brokerage account; or does it have to be in a trust.

As long as you keep it separate, it can be a suitcase under the bed.

An accept for my time is always appreciated.

To be clear. It does not have to be in a trust to insulate it. I appreciate your time. last question.

No it does not. You just cannot mix it with marital funds or have your spouse on the account.
