she may still collect those benefits. she will be paid directly as now the benefits are going through her adult parent or guardian.

How hard is it to emancipate her at age 16 in NJ? And if she isnt in school is she still able to collect her dads death benefits from social security?

the laws require that a minor seeking emancipation is able to financially support herself, live independently by showing they have employment, health benefits, etc


and yes she is still entitled to the Dad's benefits.
