# I live in CA and I want to know how to you calculate the percentage

### Customer Question

I live in CA and I want to know how to you calculate the percentage of time between parents. My ex see's our child every thurs for 2hours and has him every other Sunday for 4hours. What would the percentage be for that amount of time spent with his child

That would be - 3.5% - almost zero custody. How that is figured is 6 hours per week times 100 then divide by 168 (total hours in a week).

7 (days in a week) x
24 (hours in a day) =
Total [2 items] 168 T (total hours in a week)

6 (his number of hours in a week) x
100 /
168 =
Total [3 items] 3.5714285714286 T

You have the child 96.5% and he 3.5%.
