Is adultery in georgia JUST the sexual intercourse with another person?

What about just necking or petting with another person, is it considered adultery also? Especially after 2-3 years of separation and no intimate relations (sleeping in separate bedrooms) with the spouse?

Here is an excerpt from the Georgia Statutes (laws):

16-6-19. Adultery.
A married person commits the offense of adultery when he voluntarily
has sexual intercourse with a person other than his spouse and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be punished as for a misdemeanor.

It apparently only means intercourse--not necking, etc.
