In Louisianna its called a surrender of parental rights. You should be able to obtain it from the parish where the custody/support order originated from. The laws of Louisianna are found on the web page I have given just scroll down to the state. This shoudl give you information on the process. It still has to accepted by the court as being best for the child in this matter..

To draw up a surrender and file it, maybe $500, to do something with the arrearages go form there, maybe another $1,000 but if he helps you get this off your back it would be worth it..
