Hello!

You did right to flush well with water ...

You should be fine..

Irritation I would indeed expect but not any lasting damage to your eye of or vision...no to that ...

Hi Dr. Bray,
Is it normal though to feel there is something inside the eye still, it hurts when I blink and it feels a bit swollen but looking at the mirror it is not. Sorry, I can't seem to explain further.
Expert:  Anthony Bray, MD replied 5 months ago.

Hello again,

How long since it happened now?

Yes it is normal to feel a sense of irritation or burning...

If vision is good that is reassuring..

The sense of irritation should clear overnight ...

If too intense now you may be seen ( drops available to numb the sensation and offer you comfort ....)

OTC Visine or Sustane as example might help slightly .....

Let me know if you have further details / questions/ concerns ...

Best regards ***** *****!

Hi Dr., I promise this would be the last question, I feel like the biggest idiot ever. I've meant to say hand sanitizer 65 percent alcohol with bunch of other chemicals. not antibacterial soap, I'm so sorry, I've panicked and texted the wrong item. It is still okay, right?

Hello again,

Yes same principal applies ...irritant and hurts but not a permanent damage issue ....should improve vastly by AM I would anticipate ....
