I'm on day 8 of allergic conjuntivies/ corners abrasion

Customer Question

I'm on day 8 of allergic conjuntivies/ corners abrasion (same eye) still sensitive to light and have milder headaches then initially started. By time I got to eye clinic 7 and they just triage and said it's healing? Can't work due to prolonged computer usage. When can I expect to feel better? Using liquid tears, antismine drops, antibiotic ointment (2 more days with antibiotic) and tramadol for headache.

Hello,

Most corneal abrasions heal very well within a day or two. If your eye continues to have redness;pain, watering and sensitivity to light then it needs a closer look by an ophthalmologist. For a deeper corneal abrasion or even a corneal ulcer apart from antibiotics we need to give cycloplegic eye drops as they relax the muscles within the eye and give relief from pain and browache. Healing can take anywhere between 1 to 2 weeks depending on the extent of corneal involvement.
