If you have noted a burst blood vessel in the white part of the eye, making it appear red, with no change in vision in that eye , then it is most likely to be a sub-conjunctival hemorrhage (SCH).
It will resolve naturally in the next 5-7 days . If there is redness around theeyelid also then it is due to ecchymosis or bbleed under the skin. Just apply ice packs for 10 minutes, thrice a day for about 2 days.
You would need an eye exam by an ophthalmologist in case there is blurring of vision, severe pain the eye.
