Dr. A.S. Desai :

Are you available for chat now?

Dr. A.S. Desai :

When did you first notice the dilated pupil?

Dr. A.S. Desai :

Did she undergo an eye exam recently? Were dilating drops put in her eyes?

Dr. A.S. Desai :

If not, does she remember having an injury or trauma to that eye recently?

she has had it for a about two months, the right pupil is always bigger than the left, it gets particularly large after she has been rubbing it and it take a long time to subside.

She has been riding for many years and has fallen off the horse several time but always wears a helmet and non of the falls have been particularly violent and she has never landed head first.

she has also been taking 3 L-Lysine tablets every night for the past couple of months, would contribute ?

Dr. A.S. Desai : Thank you for the reply. I need a little more information here.
Dr. A.S. Desai : Is the vision in both eyes equal and 20/20?
Dr. A.S. Desai : If the vision is 20/20 inboth eyes then I guess it may not be due to short sightedness or myopia as I suspected it to be initially. Apart from unilatetal myopia, the other possibility is that of Adie's pupil.

we are going to have her eyes tested today.
