Ask an Eye Doctor and Get an Answer ASAP
Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.
Do you know the name of the drop that your family MD gives you?
What time of year do you have this issue and how long does it last?
We have been experiencing problems with the chat system for the last few days. Our engineers are working on it. However, I'll switch over to the Q&A system. This system works a lot like 'text messaging' but an email is sent to each of us anytime something is posted to this thread. We can continue to work on your question there..... :)
This happens the begining of Jan.
What part of the US to you live in? What I mean to say is do you get a hard winter?
I live in Pulaski,NY (upstate) not so bad winter's for the last few years, but "wintery".
Also, do you know what drop your FP gives you? Not really sure of spelling or pronunc..."Visxx"
How well does the drop work for you? Good- I use about 4days and the infection is gone.
Do you have any other medical problems or take any medications?
I do not have any other medical problems - I do take daily vitamin and calcium(citracal +D) and Fluoxetine HCL caps (10 mg) sometimes 20mg.
Also, does this issue come on suddenly and in both eyes at the same time? If you were not to treat it with the drops from your FP, do you think it would go away on its own after a period of time?
The infection does seem to come suddenly- in both eyes. I have not gotten drops and it lates much longer and is more aggravating. I have to use hot compress in the AM and drops. Therefore, yes if I would let it continue the cycle on its own it will probally go away on its own..but I can not miss that much work and I have a coworker who has iritis.
How many years has this been going on for? 3 to 4 years during January.
Have you consulted with an ophthalmologist? YES they are the ones who began treating with drops and my FP follow's lead.
