Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.
Hold his eye open and flush with clean running water for at least 15 minutes, concentrating on the eye that hurts.
Okay, that's what we're doing.
He should throw out those contacts.
But, in the end, he should be OK.
His eye will be real red; don't use visine or "get the red out" drops but rather artificial tears to soothe his eyes.
We did. Okay, I was just wondering what they would do if I took him to the emergency room, you know, different than what we've done and what you are recommending. I didn't want to overreact.
They would send you a very large bill, otherwise it would be the same as what we are doing here. :-)
Thanks! Then what I paid here is a bargain. I appreciate it very much.
If he has a sandy feeling in his eye, like something is in there, then he may have a corneal abrasion. If you goop up his eye at bedtime with lacrilube or refresh PM it will soothe and protect his cornea as he sleeps.
He should be fine in 24 hours.
My pleasure. Have a good day
