Hello,Welcome to Just AnswerThis kind of black eyes can occur due to a subtle or forceful head injury or a bang on the forehead. Due to the impact on the forehead, there can be accumalation of blood under the skin around the eyes as this area has a lot of loose areolar tissue which can accumalate blood and swell up. Normally black eye should subside by a week or two and does not require any specific treatment. The black eye changes color from black to purple to greenish before resolving completely. This is because of the breakup of the hemoglobin within the red blood cells. In case of significant injury to the forehead or head , it is better to consult a physician who can have a closer look and decide for futher investigation.
