Ask an Eye Doctor and Get an Answer ASAP
Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.
No. It will not cause any problems at all. Waiting to have a cataract removed does not make the surgery any more difficult or risky nor does it in any way impact what your final vision will be when, and if, you have the cataract removed.
I consul my patients to try glasses if this gives the good enough vision to do the things they need to do and, when glasses are no longer cutting it, then --and only then -- proceed with surgery.
I have to say that the ophthalmologist who told you to take this path is an excellent and reputable surgeon and you should stick with her :-)
Does this make sense to you?
Yes sir this does make sense and I believe she was very up front with me.
Excellent. Take care and have a good evening
