Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.
Were you examined by an ophthalmologist or an optometrist?
are you available to chat?
I don't know what he was.
did he do surgery, such as cataracts?
Ok. Most likely he was/is an optometrist and, since optometerists like to think that they are "equal" to ophthalmologists (MDs) he most likely wants to ship you off to a specialist who is "better trained" then he is, such as an oculoplastic surgeon....when in reality any MD is better trained so going to an oculoplastic surgeon is not necessary......
Almost any ophthalmologist can examine you and possibly treat you. Here is a list of Eye MDs in your area:
If they can't help you then you might have to go to an oculoplastic surgeon....by maybe not.....
Does this make sense to you?
Optometrists, in my opinion, don't know enough to even know what they don't know......
Thank you but I live in Charlestown, RI
oops....be right back :)
