Ask an Eye Doctor and Get an Answer ASAP
Hello, Welcome to Just Answer
Are you available for chat now?
It is very unfortunate to know that your friend's younger sister had to go through this mishap.
Was she examined by an eye specialist?
Yes! with three doctors
When you say she is totally blind in her left eye, does it mean that her vision is no perception of light too?

With such acute signs and symptoms there is a probablity of either iridocyclitis or keratitis or optic neuritis.
It is sad but then these conditions are treatable if detected at the earliest.
keratitis - I need to report doctor report
base on my understanding , she wake up , then it suddenly happen
If the optic nerve is badly affected then unfortunately there is nothing that can be done at this stage. Does your friend know the details of the ophthalmologist's report or any of the eye findings? It would help to know otherwise it would be a lot of guess work.
All the three conditions mentioned earlier can have an acute onset.
How do I submit the report to you Dr.Desai ?
what is worst case base on your experiences ?
A keratitis( corneal ulcer or inflammation) would not result in total blindness but a large corneal opacity can reduce vision drastically. But corneal opacity can be treated later with keratoplasty. You can send the report the report by attaching it here. Click on the paperclip logo in your message box above. Browse and open the file you want to attach and just click ok. It will be received here.
I am interested in what the eye doctors gave the final diagnosis as and what further advise was given at the time of discharge from the hospital.
A minor allergy or scratch on the cornea would never result in total blindness.
I try getting report asap. but are you still here tomorrow ?
how I reach you Dr.Desai ?
Till you send the report I will wait . I will switch over to the Q&A pattern so that we can view each other's replies later too. I will quit from the chat now.
