Dr. Rick :

Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.

Customer:

your an eye doc right?

Dr. Rick :

Is this bubble on the white part of your eye?

Dr. Rick :

yes. I am an ophthalmologist (MD)

Customer:

ya on the left side

Dr. Rick :

Does it look like a clear, whitish blister?

Customer:

ya

Customer:

kinda pink around it

Dr. Rick :

It sounds like you have a conjunctival inclusion cyst.

Customer:

in english please

Customer:

is it bad

Dr. Rick :

it is a fluid filled sac under the skin of your eyeball.....much like a blister from poorly fitting shoes.

Dr. Rick :

no. it is not bad.

Customer:

will it go away by its self

Customer:

what causes it

Dr. Rick :

It can be "popped" with a sterile needle if it bothers you but in many cases they break on their own and go away without any treatment.

Customer:

is it going to hurt bad

Dr. Rick :

It is hard to tell what causes these cysts. It can be a small scratch that you didn't even notice, allergies, etc. nothing to worry about.

Dr. Rick :

No. They shouldn't hurt at all really.

Customer:

thank u so much... alot more help then the docs around here

Customer:

Dr. Rick :

Dr. Rick :
