Legally blind is usually defined as less then 20/200 (6/60) in your best seeing eye with your best glasses in place.
Loss of visual field is also used in this calculation if indicated.

3 years ago i had lens inplants but did not help much how bad dose my sight have to be to regester for paritally sighted. i do not drive as can not see number plat at 67ft

getting registered as legally blind varies from nation to nation however the numbers I gave above are usually used as a cut off.
Your eye doctor can write you a letter describing your best corrected visual acuity and field of vision that you can take to your local government office to see if you qualify for a disability based on your vision loss.

i have to go to hospital next tuesday to see eye doctor as left one is getting bad i will ask him
