Customer:

when I move my eyes the lens implant "jiggles" and I see the edges of the lens. Aside from freaking out my family, is this normal?

Dr. Rick :

Can your family actually see the lens moving?

Customer:

yes

Customer:

if I look left or right the lens sort wiggles

Customer:

I can see a little "vibrating" type of effect when I try to read

Dr. Rick :

It is not normal for a posterior chamber intraocular lens to wiggle around. Something is wrong with the support of the lens

Dr. Rick :

You should see your surgeon in the near future. The lens may have to be repositioned or replaced.

Customer:

I am not sure if I am creeping them out or becoming a party entertainment for friends and family, and it is a little int eruptive for me as well. I see the opthamologist tomorrow, surgeon will not see me

Customer:

I did have YAG treatment, could that make the lens not sit as securely?

Dr. Rick :

The lens could come loose and sink back inside your eye, which would make it much harder to remove, requiring a retina surgeon to deal with it.

Customer:

I will tell the Dr tomorrow when they do my refraction

Dr. Rick :

Normally a YAG capsulotomy doesn't make the lens loose, but it, rarely, can

Dr. Rick :

That is a great idea.

Dr. Rick :

And, now, the obligatory word from our sponsors: :o)
