I have had slight burning of the eye with excessive watering off and on for about 30 days. Today I woke up and the eye hurts to touch and every time I open the eye extreme pain is in the cheek bone under that eye. I have had two vitrious detachments of this eye.

Dr. Rick : Hi. I'm online and happy to answer your question today.

I believe I have answered my own question as I got up this morning and my eye is as red as a beet...........looks like a typical eye infection at which I will address with my doctor tomorrow.

Thanks anyhow
My pleasure. I hope you feel better soon.

I suggest you see and ophthalmologist and not a GP or optometrist for this issue.
